Featuring the principal string quartet of the Grand Rapids Symphony, including Chris Martin and Gene Hahn on violin, Leslie Van Becker on viola and David Peshlakai on cello

Also featuring Brazilian pianist and harpsichordist Rubia Souza Santos.


A celebration of the music of J.S. Bach contrasted with the music of contemporary composer Jan Bach. In addition to the first cello suite, the program will feature one of J.S. Bach's flute sonatas, a quintet for tuba and strings by Jan Bach, as well as his 'Concert Variations for euphonium and piano', and a United States premiere performance of Hungarian composer Roland Szentpali's 'Ballade' for tuba and string quartet.
